CONFERENCE HISTORY

The conference on Diagnostics of Processes and Systems (DPS'09) is a continuation of a series of conferences on Diagnostics of Industrial Processes (DPP) organized each year since 1996 by the Warsaw University of Technology (DPP 2005), the University of Zielona Góra (DPP 2001, DPS 2007) and the Gdańsk University of Technology (DPP 2003). The annual meetings originally were titled Diagnostics of Industrial Processes. Since 1999 the conference have been organized in a two-year cycle, and since the year 2007 we make this meeting international and call it the Diagnostics of Processes and Systems.

The scope of the conference has been extended in order to include new topics such as medical diagnosis, computer systems diagnosis and non-industrial applications.

The objective of the conference is to bring together academic and industrial workers in the field of diagnostics methods and systems as well as exploitation experiences, and to formulate theoretical and practical problems requiring solutions. The conference is an excellent forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience between professionals from research, industrial and medical centres.

The subject matter of the conference is replying to the expectations and demands of research and industrial centres for modern and safe diagnostics systems, process monitoring systems and expert systems. In general, conference topics correspond to the subject area of the IFAC symposium on Fault Detection, Supervision and Safety for Technical Processes, SAFEPROCESS.
